The Practice of System and Network Admin
A while back I decided to buy The Practice of System and Network Administration and had some time off today and decided to read a few chapters.
The book is good, having relevant points and explains things that are not that much technical but instead using an approach mindset which is easing the SAs all tasks. As it is a job that requires time management to solve issues with customers waiting there are several points on saving valuable time and trying to avoid outtakes in the infrastructure. Configuration details and technical issues are not covered and this is not that kind of book. The book is about management and how to avoid troubles in configuration.
As I have not read the entire book I can not say how good the entire book is. The first chapters are very good and inspired me to read more in it. As I find more time off I will indeed read the entire book.
