Gentoo on HP 2140

I bought myself an HP 2140 and I thought I should install Gentoo 2008.0 on it. I just followed the Gentoo Installation Docs, and the .config file for my kernel (2.6.29) was just about configured on feeling. If you think something can be added or removed, please contact me. My /etc/make.conf was partly taken from the Gentoo Wiki on the HP 2133 and MSI Wind (which has the same Intel Atom processor). Two problems arose, Xorg.conf and the Broadcom BCM4322 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN Controller.

I solved the Xorg.conf by installing xf86-video-intel. With some help from the Gentoo Wiki.

emerge xf86-video-intel

Then it worked with this /etc/xorg.conf

Section "Device"
Identifier "Intel Corporation Mobile 945GME Express Graphics Controller"

The Wireless is yet to be fixed.

Update (26/7-09): Wireless is fixed!

Use: emerge net-wireless/broadcom-sta and it will download the drivers for the NIC, there are some bugs and some problems (like dhcpcd for me..). Then there is one thing in the kernel that needs to be added, right now I dont remember which it was but I am going to find out soon. You also have to install unzip so broadcom-sta will work.

According to

“You need to have wireless setup in your kernel (tkip support as well) modules or built in works.”

Old make.conf

As about all of the config files are unavailable (unfortunately lost) these are all the files I have got.
